darynfillis.com is built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA. This is the international standard recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice as the benchmark for digital accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
We follow these guidelines because they cover the full range of accessibility needs: visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive. Our goal is for every page on this site to work for every visitor, regardless of how they access the web.
What this site does to support you.
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element on this site is reachable and usable using only a keyboard. A "skip to main content" link appears at the top of every page.
Screen reader support
All images have descriptive alt text. All form fields have associated labels. Page structure uses proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions so screen readers can navigate efficiently.
Color and contrast
Text and interactive elements meet WCAG contrast ratios. Information is never conveyed by color alone.
Resizable text
All text on the site can be resized up to 200 percent without loss of content or functionality.
Mobile and assistive device support
The site is responsive and works on mobile devices, tablets, and assistive technologies including screen readers, voice recognition software, and switch devices.
Ongoing commitment.
Accessibility is not a one-time project. It is a continuous practice. We test the site regularly using automated tools (WAVE, Lighthouse, axe), manual keyboard testing, and screen reader testing.
When new pages or features are added, they are tested for accessibility before being made public. When older content is updated, we take the opportunity to improve its accessibility as well.
